Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F or 45°C)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
- Add the warm water and stir until a sticky dough forms. Ensure all the flour is fully incorporated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let it rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size and is bubbly on the surface.
- Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Once the dough has risen, use a spatula or your hands to gently fold the dough over itself a few times in the bowl to deflate it slightly.
- Transfer the dough to the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula if needed.
- Cover the loaf pan with a clean towel and let the dough rise for another 1 to 2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Once the dough has risen, uncover the loaf and bake it in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
