 COMMERCIAL COOKIES RECIPE 






Ingredients


Unsalted butter – 2 cups (454g), softened


Granulated sugar – 1½ cups (300g)


Vanilla extract – 1 tablespoon (15ml)


All-purpose flour – 6 cups (750g)


Baking soda – ½ teaspoon (2g)


Vinegar or lemon juice – 1 teaspoon (5ml)


Salt – 1 teaspoon (5g)


Milk – 4–6 tablespoons (60–90ml), adjust as needed for dough consistenc


Instructions


Beat the softened butter and sugar together until creamy and well combined. Add vanilla extract and vinegar or lemon juice, then mix thoroughly.


In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture. Pour in milk a tablespoon at a time just until the dough holds together without being sticky.


Chill the dough for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line trays with parchment paper.


Roll the dough out to ¼ inch (0.6 cm) thick, cut into desired shapes, and place on trays with space in between.


Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are light golden. Cool completely before storing or packaging.
